Petrified Forest National Park is a United States national park in northeastern Arizona. The park covers about 200 square miles (520 km2) and extends about 28 miles (43 km2) north to south. About half of the park is located in the Painted Desert, while the other half is in the petrified woodlands.

The park is known for its numerous petrified wood sites, as well as for its hiking, backpacking, and camping opportunities. There are also a number of archaeological sites within the park, including the ruins of an ancient pueblo.
