Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is one of the greatest National Parks to visit for many reasons. The first reason is that the canyon is incredibly deep. In some places, it is over 2,000 feet deep! The second reason is that the canyon is very narrow. In some places, it is only 40 feet wide! The third reason is that the walls of the canyon are very steep. They are so steep that they are almost vertical in some places! The fourth reason is that the river that runs through the canyon, the Gunnison River, is very wild. It is one of the most dangerous rivers in the United States. The fifth and final reason is that the views from the top of the canyon are incredible. You can see for miles in every direction.
