Saguaro National Park is one of the most popular National Parks to visit in the United States. In 2021, the Park had 1.1 million visitors. This is a 6 percent increase from 2019. The temporary decrease in visits in 2020 was due to the Park being shutdown at the start of the pandemic. The expected total number of visitors in 2022 is 1.2 million. Sequoia National Park and Gateway Arch National Park are the two National Parks with similar annual visitor counts.

Saguaro National Park is popular because of its unique landscape and wildlife. The park is home to the largest cactus in the world, the saguaro cactus. The saguaro cactus can grow up to 60 feet tall and can live for over 150 years. The park is also home to other desert plants and animals such as the Gila monster, desert tortoise, and bobcat.
